January 23, 2010 - Kent County: 15 coveys per day with an average of 12 birds.

January 17, 2010 - Archer County: Good News! Birds made it through the 12" of snow with 5' drifts. Average of 5 coveys every 3 hours, covey
                             size reduced to 8-10 birds.


January 16, 2010 - Kent County: Birds still confined to shinnery taking advantage of a good acorn crop.

December 31, 2009 - Dickens County: 7-10 coveys per day with an average of 12-15 birds.

December 26, 2009 - Kent County: 13-15 coveys per day with an average of 15-17 birds.

November 12, 2009 - Dickens County, Esperanza Ranch: Average-to-good covey counts with average covey size of 8-12 birds, down from last
                                 year.  Birds still nesting as of October 01, 2009.


Recruitment Reports

November 15, 2009 - Aspermont area: Medium sample taken showing 98% sub-adults.

November 14, 2009 - Esperanza Ranch: Small sample taken showing 40% sub-adults.
